Considering the state of the US economy, public education etc. I really think the government should invest more time and effort into those things, as opposed to arresting 16 year old boys that download a bunch of .mp3s. Kevin Mitnick spent way to long in prison for something that really should have just gotten him a warning. Why are we wasting time and money with people like that? Why not go after the REAL criminals like rapists and murderers? Honestly, most hackers, the ones I know of anyway, usually just do it because it's a challenge. Most like the thrill and the working knowledge they get by doing it. It's a harmless activity. Would you rather have a world full of hackers or murderers? Yeah.. that's what I thought.
