Many of the *NIX flavors were built from the ground up with security in mind, yet there are still security advisories being issued as obscure security holes are discovered. To try to untangle existing code without breaking dependencies is nothing short of impossible. Perhaps M$ should do like Apple and hack a *NIX and call it OS-TEN. They have already stolen the TCP/IP stack from BSD. Gee! Just think, another X Windows desktop.
