if this kid had any sense he would have given himself a more modest increase in speed. I doubt that a 25% increase would be noticed, unless he ran a warez server or kazaa. I have DSL. I don't understand where the cable modem folks have any room to complain. their speeds are typically double or triple what I am getting for the same price.

On a good day, dsl reports will report 180KB per second (I am paying for 1.5 Mbps or T1 speed). These kids need to experience 300 baud. That is what I had back in the commodore 64 days. I can't believe how driven the world is by greed. both bandwidth and money.
