A raid on the alleged author of a well-known hacker toolkit is raising eyebrows among electronic civil libertarians, and putting security researchers on guard.

The matter is clear. There are two kind of people who are coding hacking tools: those who are doing it for research purpose (doctors are sectioning dead bodies before becoming doctors)and those who are doing it with an evil intent.

Unfortunately, most of the time also those codes produced as a research fall in the wrong hands, causing havoc around the Internet. This is clear.

Nonetheless, it shouldn't be allowed to prosecute those hacking tools producers if they are not directly employing their own material.

Proof of concept hacktools they belong to that fundamental human right which is called "freedom of speech".

The usage of speech sometimes created havoc as well but going around cutting throats to prevent it, it is definetly not the proper action to be taken.

Somebody around this forum said: 'there is no security without whitehats'.
