Repeat after me... "t0rn is not a whitehat", ask the regulars of IRCnet and check defacement mirror sites... It's also debatable whether he wrote all the code in t0rnkit. I suspect the police were just trying to pin him down on something, so that they could grab his machines and get substantial evidence of some of his other deeds. Anyway he deserves whatever he gets!
