The company headquarters are in Wilmington, Massachusetts; branch offices are located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and Seattle, Washington. As part of its service and product lines, Security Innovation creates e-Learning courses aimed at helping organizations train their IT professionals in IT and application security. Security Innovation is currently seeking a technical writer to join the e-Learning development team based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Technical Writer in e-Learning Development will assist in the expansion and maintenance of Security Innovations current e-Learning product line and will also contribute to the development of custom e-Learning projects. The successful applicant will create technical content based on application security-related subjects such as secure design and development best practices, threat modeling, security-testing techniques, secure product development processes and other IT security-oriented topics. He/she will be able to translate technical specifications generated by engineers and supporting collaterals into high-quality instructional content and write in an engaging style, relaying the defined learning objectives in a compelling and technically accurate manner. All e-Learning courses will be developed for English-speaking audiences. As e-Learning projects follow tight schedules, the successful applicant will need the ability to absorb, analyze, and synthesize new technical concepts in a limited amount of time. As the successful applicant will need to integrate into the existing e-Learning development process, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Visio is a must. Experience with source versioning systems such as SVN is preferred. Specific Responsibilities: To write and review course storyboards based on design specifications To write audio voiceover scripts To assist in the creation of multimedia content To perform technical editing based on predefined guidelines To provide quality assurance of developed courses |

Minimum Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree, preferably in a communication- or IT-related field 23 years experience writing technical content for an IT audience Excellent written English (Native English speakers required) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Ability to assimilate new technologies/tools Knowledge of IT/software security preferred Strong analytical skills Ability to work in a team Excellent time management Ability to work according to tight production deadlines and produce quality deliverables |
